Founded in 2020 by Habib Hajallie RBA—an elected member of The Royal Society of British Artists and Forbes 30 Under 30 honouree—New Emergence Art is an international platform dedicated to championing and showcasing living artists globally. Drawing from Hajallie’s firsthand experience with the early financial and exposure struggles of a full-time artistic career, the initiative was established to empower underrepresented and emerging practitioners. Operating as an online-based organization, New Emergence Art hosts an annual international prize and digital exhibition platform that connects creators worldwide with industry visibility and support.
Objectives
New Emergence Art aims to galvanize the careers of underrepresented and emerging artists from all backgrounds by offering platform visibility, financial backing, and career development tools. By providing cash awards, materials, and residency opportunities, the platform seeks to offset the costs of materials and working expenses, encouraging new artists to pursue their professional ambitions. Operating with a low 10% sales commission model (in contrast to traditional gallery splits), the organization strives to offer a fair, accessible, and empowering ecosystem for artists to showcase and sell their work.
