New Emergence Art was founded by Habib Hajallie RBA in 2020 as a platform to champion and showcase living artists around the world. The aim of New Emergence Art is to galvanise the careers of underrepresented and emerging artists from all backgrounds.
Being a full time artist since 2018, Hajallie has experienced the struggles of trying to obtain exposure and financial security during the early years of his career. New Emergence Art was created to empower talented emerging artists by providing a cash prize to enable practitioners to offset some of the costs of materials, expenses and working, or simply to encourage new artists to keep pursuing their ambitions. The New Emergence Art Prize has now grown to offer multiple awards annually to help artists with career development and significant visibility.
