Short Description

The Chevening Clore Leadership Fellowship is a partnership between the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and Clore Leadership. 

It’s for mid-career professionals in the arts and culture sector who want to grow as leaders and make a lasting impact. 

Hosted by Clore Leadership, a renowned UK-based organisation dedicated to developing leadership in the cultural sector, the fellowship will take place at various locations across the UK. 

Fellows will attend two intensive residential courses, typically held at Ashorne Hill near Leamington Spa, as well as participate in skills workshops, mentoring sessions, and a tailored secondment with a UK cultural institution.

Duration

The duration of this fellowship is six to nine months.

  • Start: September*
  • End: May

*Fellows will come to the UK for two weeks in September, then go back to their home countries. They will then return to the UK from January to May.

Eligibility

  • Be a citizen of Brazil, China, Egypt, India, Jordan, Lebanon, Mexico, or South Africa and be a resident in one of these countries at the point of application 
  • Hold a degree that is equivalent to at least a good UK second-class honours degree or have equivalent professional training and/or experience 
  • Have completed at least five years’ work, or equivalent, experience

Each fellowship includes: 

  • Accommodation while in the UK 
  • Living expenses while in the UK 
  • Up to two return economy flights from your home country to the UK 
  • Course and conference fees within the UK 
  • Training and development costs within the UK 
  • Travel in the UK 

Fellows will gain:

  • A personalised leadership development plan 
  • Insight into UK cultural leadership practices 
  • Hands-on experience through a UK-based secondment
