Organizer Information
Artistes en Résidence (A·R) is a nonprofit association based in Clermont‑Ferrand, France, founded in 2011. It supports contemporary creation by offering residencies to artists, providing time, space, and resources for research and experimentation rather than production-driven residencies. A·R is committed to facilitating mobility, idea exchange, and access to technical resources and networks. Their residential programs are situated in a multidisciplinary complex (“La Diode”) shared with local art associations, providing studio and communal facilities and fostering community and artistic exchange.
Title & Description
Résidence 100 jours (100‑Day Residency)
This open call invites individual artists to apply for a 100-day residency in Clermont-Ferrand. The program is conceived as a research‑oriented residency — giving artists time to reflect, experiment, and deepen their practice without the pressure to produce a finished project. The residency offers a private living space, shared studio facilities, and access to technical resources. Artists are free to use the time as they see fit — to develop ongoing projects, start new research, explore new media or methodologies, or simply dedicate uninterrupted time to their practice. Public presentation is optional; the emphasis is on process, experimentation, and immersion in a supportive artistic environment.
