Organizer Information
Ente Musicale e Culturale Filarmonica "G. Puccini" is a cultural institution based in Suvereto, a medieval hilltop town in Tuscany. It was formally established in 1991 to continue the work of the Società Filarmonica Puccini, a musical band founded in Suvereto in 1823, and today it manages the town's music school, historical archive, and cultural programming. The Ente's archive — spanning administrative, musical, and multimedia holdings, including over a thousand scores split between printed texts and manuscripts — was recognized as being of significant historical interest by Italy's Ministry of Culture in 2017, and the Ente is itself recognized by the Ministry as a cultural institute and research body. For this residency, the Ente is the winning recipient of the 2025 edition of "Per Chi Crea," a programme promoted by Italy's Ministry of Culture and managed by SIAE (the Italian Society of Authors and Publishers), which channels a share of private-copy royalties into supporting the creativity of young artists. The residency is organized in collaboration with the Conservatorio di Musica "Pietro Mascagni" of Livorno.
