Short Description
Climate change challenges us all – time for art to open up a new perspective on the energy transition! With the art competition KindMeetsH2 we invite artists to creatively stage green hydrogen as the key to a sustainable energy future. Regardless of the art discipline, it brings science, society and art into dialogue – in public or digital space.
Eligibility
All self-employed artists and art collectives aged 18 and over with their main residence in Germany are eligible to participate. Your project should
- Have a connection to the topic of green hydrogen and the hydrogen flagship projects
- to be original and innovative
- be artistically demanding and technically feasible
- Have a potentially wide reach and public impact
- All art movements are welcome! Whether installations, performance, painting, sculpture, digital works or interactive concepts – surprise us with your ideas!
Submission Requirements
- Proposal: A maximum of one DIN A4 page, describes the project idea, the reference to green hydrogen and the planned implementation.
- Artistic Curriculum Vitae: Focal points of artistic education, exhibition history and central successes in a maximum of one DIN A4 page.
- Work samples: Examples of work or previous projects of the artists. Any video material used can be introduced via a link.

Program Benefits & Awards
The best three project proposals will be awarded.
Each winning project proposal will receive a total prize of 10,000 euros for the implementation of the project after invoicing. The prize money will be paid in two installments:
- First installment: 5,000 euros immediately after the announcement of the winners and conclusion of the contract for project implementation. Payment will be made within 14 days after invoicing and signing the contract.
- Second installment: An additional 5,000 euros after proof of completion and publication of the work, but no later than October 15, 2025. The work, or a copy/image/recording of it, must also be submitted to the organizer in a form suitable for publication on the Hydrogen Lead Projects website.
