Bright Festival is an international platform dedicated to digital art, lighting design, electronic music, and interactive experiences. Since its inception in 2019, the festival has hosted over 120 digital artists and creative studios worldwide, showcasing 90+ digital artworks and captivating audiences with immersive, digital, and interactive shows. The festival aims to promote visibility for artists in the digital arts community and create opportunities for networking with industry leaders, curators, and audiences. It has attracted more than 40,000 attendees and hosted over 680 hours of events and performances.

Your Talent Matters, MAKE IT BRIGHT: Open Call for New Media Art Projects
This open call invites artists and creative design studios to submit their digital art, lighting design, and electronic music projects for exhibition at Bright Festival 2026. The festival provides an excellent opportunity for artists to gain visibility, expand their networks, and present their works to a global audience. Projects selected will be showcased in interactive and immersive exhibitions, reaching thousands of digital-conscious attendees, curators, and industry professionals.

The festival provides a platform to display ready-made projects or those already presented at other fairs. Projects must be installable within 12 hours and can be presented individually or as a group.

Eligibility

  • Open to individual artists, creative studios, or collectives.
  • Participation is free of charge; however, the candidate must cover project design costs (e.g., artistic and narrative concept development, creative direction).
  • Projects must be capable of setup within a maximum time of 12 hours.
  • The festival accepts ready-made projects, including those that have been presented elsewhere.

  • The exhibition area is determined by the organization based on the characteristics of the proposed project.

Application Requirements

  • Completed online application form (to be filled out by the artist or representative).
  • Project description and artistic concept.
  • Technical specifications (dimensions, setup requirements, and any special installation needs).
  • Portfolio/previous work (if applicable).
  • Details of any collaborators (if applying as a group or collective).
  • Self-financing details (percent of production costs covered by the applicant).
  • Selected projects will need to finalize details related to production costs, technical specifications, and travel logistics once selected.

  • The Selection Criteria include: Originality and Innovation – Creativity and uniqueness. Concept and User Experience – Engaging and captivating experiences for the audience.Technical and Financial Feasibility – Practicality, ease of setup, and modularity.
    • An additional self-financing coefficient will impact the evaluation of the project. The greater the level of self-financing, the higher the project score.
  • The Curatorial Board of renowned curators, artists, and experts will assess submissions.
