Title & Description

CCA Photography Research Fellowship Program

The 2027 CCA Photography Research Fellowship Program offers a residency opportunity for advanced researchers working on innovative photography-related projects. The fellowship supports independent research based on the resources of the CCA Library and Collection, providing fellows with time, space, and institutional support to develop significant scholarly or curatorial projects.

The program is designed for researchers at the postdoctoral level and beyond, or professionals with equivalent experience, whose work contributes original perspectives to the study of photography. Proposed projects should demonstrate a clear connection to the CCA’s holdings and explore photography through historical, theoretical, curatorial, architectural, or interdisciplinary approaches.

Selected fellows will spend one to two months in residence at the CCA in Montréal, conducting full-time research, engaging with the institution’s collections, and participating in public discussions, seminars, workshops, and summer activities organized by the CCA.
