Organizer Information
The Circus Residential Network 2026 is initiated and coordinated by a consortium of established Croatian and regional cultural organizations dedicated to the development of contemporary circus and outdoor arts. The network is led by Cirkorama Association (Zagreb) in collaboration with Cirkus Kolektiv and ROOM 100 (Split), Prostor Plus (Rijeka), Čarobnjakov šešir (Pula), K.V.A.R.K. (Križevci), and Kućni Kolektiv (Klanjec). Together, these organizations form a decentralized residency platform that shares spatial, technical, and human resources across Croatia, with the aim of strengthening the regional contemporary circus scene through research-based creation, mentorship, and public engagement.

The Circus Residential Network 2026 is an open call for regional contemporary circus artists and collectives to develop new works in progress through supported artistic residencies across eight professional venues in Croatia. The program focuses on projects that are still in the creation phase, offering artists time, space, mentorship, and structured feedback to advance their artistic and dramaturgical development. Residencies emphasize innovation, critical thinking, interdisciplinarity, and audience engagement, culminating in a public work-in-progress presentation and guided discussion.

Eligibility
This call is open to regional artists and collectives working in contemporary circus and outdoor arts from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Kosovo. Applicants may apply as individuals or collectives. Only projects in development (short forms or full-length performances) are eligible; finished productions are not accepted. There is no stated age limit.

Additional Details
Applicants may submit the same project to multiple venues and cities. One individual may be involved as a co-author in more than one application. Each residency concludes with a mandatory public presentation and audience feedback session.
