Researcher, Curatorial – White Cube
White Cube is seeking an experienced Researcher, Curatorial to join its Curatorial department at its Bermondsey headquarters in London. This permanent full-time position focuses on supporting the gallery's Research & Development programme through high-level curatorial research, scholarly writing, artist documentation, and cross-departmental coordination.
The successful candidate will play an essential role in researching contemporary and historical artists, preparing presentations for senior leadership, documenting internal research discussions, producing artwork précis, updating artist biographies and bibliographies, and monitoring developments across the contemporary art market.
This opportunity is particularly suited to professionals with strong academic research backgrounds, excellent writing abilities, and experience within leading galleries, auction houses, museums, or art advisory firms. Position & Tasks
The Curatorial Researcher will contribute to White Cube's research initiatives and artist development programme through a combination of research, writing, coordination, and administrative responsibilities.
- Coordinate monthly Research & Development (R&D) meetings.
- Schedule Senior Artist Engagement meetings.
- Conduct scholarly research on contemporary and historical artists.
- Produce comprehensive research presentations (PDF/PPT).
- Prepare research materials for external scholars and freelance writers.
- Maintain records of artist research and previous discussions.
- Write and distribute meeting minutes.
- Arrange studio visits and artist appointments.
- Write artwork précis emphasizing historical, artistic, and market significance.
- Research exhibition histories and academic literature.
- Proofread and edit curatorial texts.
- Support fellow Artist Coordinators with writing tasks.
- Prepare sales offer letters for exhibitions.
- Update artist biographies, CVs, and bibliographies.
- Edit website content and press releases.
- Research current art market developments.
- Produce a weekly newsletter for the Research & Development team.
- Attend internal sales and artist liaison meetings.
- Perform additional departmental duties as assigned.

Eligibility
