Title & Description

Exhibition Proposal Open Call – Filter Photo 2026

This open call invites artists, curators, and collectives to submit proposals for exhibitions centred on Photography and lens-based practices. The programme is designed to support experimental, conceptual, and expanded approaches to photographic production, including installation-based work, moving image, and performative or interdisciplinary extensions of photographic practice.

Applicants are encouraged to develop proposals for solo, duo, or group exhibitions that engage critically with the material, conceptual, or social dimensions of photography. Proposals may include gallery-based presentations as well as site-responsive installations and accompanying public programming such as talks, performances, or workshops.

The curatorial framework is intentionally flexible, allowing for contemporary interpretations of photographic practice. Projects may explore documentary, conceptual, archival, or experimental approaches, as long as they remain grounded in or connected to lens-based media.

Selected exhibitions will be realized in collaboration with Filter Photo’s curatorial team and advisory panel, which includes internationally recognized curators and museum professionals. The programme aims to foster dialogue between artists and institutions while supporting new curatorial and artistic experimentation in the field of contemporary photography.
