Organizer Information:

Grossmünster is the birthplace of the Swiss Reformation and the symbolic center of metropolitan Zurich. The fellowship is offered by the Reformed Church of Zurich in cooperation with several local institutions.

Title & Description:

Applications are open for the Fellowship Grossmünster 2027.

This 15-week fellowship offers a fully paid residency in Zurich for promising artists, writers, or researchers. Applicants must outline a project they wish to accomplish during their stay that engages with the Swiss Reformation or its heritage. The project should analyze or reflect upon contemporary Swiss society and culture (especially in Zurich), playfully unfolding the idea that "Reformation never stops." (Note: Projects are not limited strictly to religion-related reform processes).

Eligibility:

  • Who: Promising artists, writers, and researchers from all fields of interest.
  • Language: Professional knowledge of English is required; basic knowledge of German is favorable.

Work Exchange & Obligations:

  • Public Engagement: Fellows are expected to engage actively in public discourse, present their work on a regular basis to both smaller and broader audiences, and participate in official events during their stay.
