Fabula Works is hosting this summer exhibition at Millepiani, a venue in Rome. They seek photographers who offer personal, compelling, and organic ways of seeing that move beyond familiar aesthetics and well-worn visual trends.

Applications are open for a Fully Produced Duo/Solo Show.

This five-week summer exhibition is currently seeking two photographers to feature. The theme for this first open call is completely open. Photographers are invited to "come as you are." Submissions may consist of one or two cohesive series, or a carefully selected group of images that reflects your broader body of work.

  • Who: Photographers worldwide.
  • Artistic Vision: The organizers are looking for photographers who offer personal and compelling ways of seeing. The work should move beyond familiar aesthetics and well-worn visual trends without needing to conform to a specific tone, genre, or model.
  • Key Requirement: A distinct, thoughtful, and organic perspective capable of subtly shifting how viewers engage with known images and ideas.
  • Selection: Based strictly on the artistic strength and the cohesive, thoughtful presentation of the submitted photographs.

Program Benefits & Awards:

  • Production: Printing costs for the exhibition are fully covered by the organizers.
  • Promotion: Exhibition promotion is fully covered.
  • Exhibition Space: A five-week showcase at Millepiani in Rome.

Application Fee & Program Costs:

  • Application Fee: 25 EUR (required to support the administration of the open call).
  • Participant Costs: Artists are entirely responsible for making their own travel and accommodation arrangements if they decide to attend the opening night in Rome.
