Gallery Siva is an independent contemporary art space run by the Autonomous Cultural Centre Attack, a non-partisan, non-profit, non-governmental association operating in non-institutional culture and youth since 1997, which supports the independent cultural scene through art festivals, alternative concert events, film and theater production, a gallery program, and free educational content. Since 2009, AKC has operated the AKC Medika socio-cultural centre. AKC Medika occupies a former factory building and is known locally for its street art and graffiti festival, held annually since 2013, alongside alternative exhibitions, comic presentations, screenings, concerts, and workshops; Gallery Siva itself is located on the second floor of the building. The gallery was formed in 2012 by graffiti artists seeking a dedicated space for their work and presentations, and it has no programmatic or conceptual restrictions, aiming to affirm artists working across a wide range of styles.

GALERIJA SIVA — Open Call for Exhibition and Residency Projects, 2027
Gallery Siva invites artists, curators, and artist collectives to submit exhibition and residency proposals for its 2027 programme cycle. The call seeks work situated within contemporary, experimental, and interdisciplinary art, as well as practices rooted in street art, illustration, design, comics, and other unconventional forms of expression. Particular emphasis is placed on projects that explore alternative artistic formats, question the relationship between space, audience, and media, and open up critical reflection on contemporary society. The call is open to both trained and self-taught artists, as well as collectives, curators, and residents.

Eligibility
- Open to artists of all generations and educational backgrounds, both trained and self-taught
- Open to individual artists, artist collectives, curators, and residents
- Authors working in installation, video, performance, sound, site-specific, and new media art
- Authors working in graffiti, street art, illustration, design, and comics
- Authors working in experimental and socially engaged art
- Curators whose concepts align with the gallery's spatial and programmatic openness
- Artists interested specifically in residencies and producing new work
- No stated nationality restriction — both Croatian and international artists are addressed (see Program Benefits, which differentiates travel support by origin)
Program Benefits & Awards
- Travel support: up to €100 for artists from Croatia
- Travel support: up to €400 for international artists
- Accommodation within AKC Medika for residency participants
- Partial production support for new work produced during the residency
- Covered basic technical requirements and technical assistance
- Promotion through social media, mailing lists, posters, and online portals
