Gallery Coordinator — David Zwirner Paris, France

David Zwirner is seeking a Gallery Coordinator to join its Paris location and support the daily operations and long-term development of the gallery.

This position offers an opportunity for an arts professional interested in learning and contributing to the operational side of a leading international contemporary art gallery. Working closely with the Director of Business Operations, the Gallery Coordinator will support gallery management activities including facilities coordination, human resources administration, hospitality management, exhibition support, vendor relations, and office operations.

Position & Tasks

Equipment, Facilities & Vendors
  • Maintain smooth daily operational conditions for the gallery.
  • Develop knowledge of building systems, equipment, and facilities requirements.
  • Coordinate relationships with external vendors and service providers.
  • Maintain vendor records and oversee on-site vendor activities.
  • Conduct vendor performance reviews and research competitive pricing.
  • Perform regular walkthroughs of public and private gallery spaces.
  • Report repairs, improvements, and maintenance requirements.
  • Liaise with IT teams to ensure reliable technology systems, software updates, devices, and security infrastructure.
Human Resources Support
  • Supporting staff and intern onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Managing recurring internal communications.
  • Supervising interns involved in gallery management activities.
  • Maintaining intern manuals and operational documentation.
  • Coordinating staff enrichment activities and workplace initiatives.
Hospitality Management
  • Management of the David Zwirner residence.
  • Booking coordination and preparation processes.
  • Vendor management and maintenance supervision.
  • Check-in/check-out procedures.
  • Regular inspections and reporting of required improvements.
Exhibitions & Events Support
  • Participating in exhibition meetings led by the Director of Business Operations.
  • Preparing meeting notes and documentation.
  • Supporting exhibition opening preparations.
  • Assisting Marketing & Communications teams with logistics for non-core events, including:
    • Talks
    • Panels
    • Poetry readings
    • Public programmes
Office Administration
  • Reconciling company credit card expenses.
  • Processing and coding vendor invoices.
  • Supporting general gallery administration.
