Organizer Information

The Goldrausch Künstlerinnenprojekt is a professional development programme dedicated to supporting women and FLINTA visual artists in building sustainable independent careers in the contemporary art field. Founded in 1989 and operated by Goldrausch Frauennetzwerk Berlin e.V., the programme was created in response to the structural underrepresentation of women artists in exhibitions, awards, academic positions, and the international art market.

Goldrausch Frauennetzwerk Berlin e.V. is a non-profit organisation established in 1982 with the aim of supporting women’s professional independence and promoting activities related to gender equality and women’s rights. Through the Goldrausch Künstlerinnenprojekt, the organisation provides artists with practical knowledge, professional networks, and opportunities to increase the visibility of their artistic practices.

The programme is co-funded by the European Union through the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) and the Federal State of Berlin, allowing participants to access a fully funded postgraduate-level professionalisation course. Since its establishment, Goldrausch has become a recognised platform in Berlin’s contemporary art landscape, helping artists strengthen their careers through education, public presentation, networking, and career management skills.

Title & Description

Goldrausch Künstlerinnenprojekt 2027 – Professional Development Programme for Visual Artists

The Goldrausch Künstlerinnenprojekt is a one-year professional development programme designed for visual artists who want to strengthen their professional practice, improve their ability to present and communicate their work, and gain practical knowledge required for sustainable careers as independent artists.

The programme focuses on the professionalisation of artistic careers by combining artistic reflection with practical training in areas such as self-presentation, communication strategies, financial planning, copyright, taxation, project organisation, and networking within the art world.

Throughout the 12-month course, participants analyse their artistic positions, develop strategies for presenting their work publicly, and create professional materials such as websites and catalogue brochures. The programme also includes discussions, seminars, excursions, individual consultations, and networking opportunities within Berlin’s contemporary art scene.

The programme concludes with a group exhibition, providing participants with an important platform to publicly present their artistic work and expand their professional networks.
