Title & Description
KUTE – Call for Choreographers 2026
KUTE is an international choreographic creation program designed to invite selected choreographers to develop a new original work within a highly structured, short-term production setting. The program centres on the creation of a new choreographic piece developed with dancers from the SPECIFIC training centre for contemporary dancers, a professional training program directed by Loris Petrillo.
The dancers involved in the project come from a wide international background, including countries such as India, Egypt, Germany, Croatia, Sweden, Brazil, Italy, Serbia, North Macedonia, Morocco, Mexico, and Spain, ensuring a diverse and intercultural creative environment.
Selected choreographers are invited to enter a five-day intensive creative process, during which they are expected to generate and refine a short choreographic work. The program culminates in a public presentation at the end of the working week, with an additional possible inclusion of the work in the final SPECIFIC performance showcase.
The structure is designed to simulate a real production environment under tight temporal constraints, emphasizing decision-making, compositional clarity, and the ability to translate artistic ideas into performative outcomes quickly and effectively.
