Through exhibition staging, publishing projects, and commercial buyer networks, Malamegi Lab promotes emerging and established talent globally.

LAB ART PRIZE - VENICE’27 (Malamegi Lab Art Award): Call for Submissions
Malamegi Lab has opened registrations for the LAB ART PRIZE - VENICE’27. Designed to promote international artists and integrate them into commercial art and interior decoration networks, the open call has a completely open theme. Selecting 12 finalist artists to present their work in a high-profile physical group exhibition in Venice, the prize features cash awards, private collection acquisitions, commercial collection development, and monographic art book publication.

The competition accepts Painting, Photography, Sculpture, Mixed Media, Digital, Video, Graphics, Net Art, and Other 2D/3D Visual Media (capable of being represented via an image).
Eligibility
- Geographic & Professional Scope: Open to professional and amateur artists, graphic designers, painters, photographers, and visual creators of all nationalities worldwide.
- Artwork Constraints: Artworks must measure a maximum of 3 × 3 meters. Each submitted piece requires an image and description (multi-element works must group all elements into a single composite image).
- Thematic Scope: Free theme (artists are invited to interpret the call through their own sensitivity).
Program Benefits & Awards
From the 12 selected exhibition finalists, four major awards will be conferred:
- Collective Exhibition (Venice): 12 finalists participate in the official exhibition in Venice, accompanied by a published general catalog distributed during the exhibition and vernissage invitations sent to regional media, critics, and curators.
- Cash Prize (€1,000 EUR): Awarded at the end of the collective exhibition to one finalist based on quality and originality (the winning work remains the property of the artist).
- Artwork Acquisition Award (Up to €2,000 EUR): Malamegi Lab will acquire one finalist artwork (priced at or under €2,000 EUR) for inclusion in its private collection.
- Monographic Book Prize: A monographic art book (approx. 100 copies printed, with 20 copies given directly to the artist) edited, designed, printed, and distributed to Malamegi's top customers and collectors at Malamegi Lab's expense.
- Malamegi’s New Collection: One artist will be selected to develop an entire collection of works, advertised and presented directly to buyers across Malamegi's commercial network.
Application Fees
Participation fees depend on the number of artworks entered (up to 6 artworks per entrant):
- 1 Artwork:€50.00 EUR
- 2 Artworks:€75.00 EUR
- 3 Artworks:€105.00 EUR
- 4 Artworks:€125.00 EUR
- 5 Artworks:€135.00 EUR
- 6 Artworks:€150.00 EUR
