The Lisbon Street Photo Fest (LSPF) is organized by Associação 351 Foto, an independent non-profit cultural association based in Lisbon, Portugal. The festival celebrates street photography as a vital voice in contemporary visual culture, bringing together a global network of creators through curated exhibitions, workshops, portfolio reviews, and photowalks.

Lisbon Street Photo Fest 2026: 2nd Edition International Open Call.
Launching its second edition, this international competition invites street photographers from around the world to present their best work. The open call is looking for candid, spontaneous, and unstaged photography captured in public spaces that documents urban dynamics, human interaction, and the everyday rhythm of streets. Finalists will have their work physically mounted in high-profile gallery settings during the festival week.
Exhibition Venue:
Finalists' works will take over the exhibition venues of the prestigious Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa, creating a major space for dialogue and public discovery in the heart of the Portuguese capital.
Categories
- Singles: Standalone, individual street photographs.
- Series: A cohesive body of work consisting of 10 to 15 photographs exploring a unified narrative or conceptual theme.
Eligibility
- Age: Open to anyone aged 18 years or older worldwide (amateurs, enthusiasts, and professionals).
- Timeframe: Single photos must have been captured on or after January 1, 2024. Series must be ongoing or completed after January 1, 2024 (older images are allowed within the set).
- Exclusions: Works that have already won a top-3 placement or monetary prize in another major photography competition (e.g., LensCulture, Life Framer, Sony World Photography) are ineligible.
- Guidelines: Strictly no AI-generated content, watermarks, text signatures, illustrations, or heavily manipulated composites.
Program Benefits and Awards (€4,000 Total Cash Pool)
- Singles Cash Prizes: 1st Prize: €1,250 | 2nd Prize: €750 | 3rd Prize: €500.
- Series Cash Prize: Winner: €1,500.
- The MPB Award: A special prize dedicated to one Portugal-based photographer (regardless of nationality) for a standalone or series entry. It features a dedicated exhibition spot and promotion.
- Exhibition: All finalists will have their work professionally printed, framed, and exhibited at the festival’s expense.
- Perks: All selected finalists receive a VSCO Pro membership to support their professional career development.
Fees
- Singles: €10 per individual entry. (Bulk offer: For every 5 paid entries, you get 1 free entry. Max 25 files per Picter upload).
- Series: €40 per series submission.
- Hardship Waivers: A limited number of fee waivers are available via email for photographers facing severe international payment restrictions.
Application Requirements
- Submission Platform: Digital upload via the Picter platform to guarantee fair, completely anonymous (blind) judging.
- Format: JPEG/JPG files, at least 1500 pixels on the longest side, with a resolution of 300 dpi.
- Finalist Check: Finalists will be asked to provide high-resolution TIFF files within 7 days of notification, and must be ready to provide RAW files if requested to verify editing integrity.

Additional Details
To secure a diverse showcase, each photographer can have a maximum of one single image and one series selected for the final exhibition. The international judging panel features esteemed voices including Nikos Economopoulos (Magnum Photos), Melissa O'Shaughnessy, Paulie B., Daniel Postaer, Josh Edgoose, Nazile Bolat, Polly Rusyn, and Rui Palha.
