Eligibility:
● The contest is open to both professional and amateur artists, including graphic designers, painters, photographers, and others from around the world. ● Accepted Art Forms: The contest accepts a variety of visual art forms, including painting, photography, sculpture, mixed media, digital, video, graphics, net art, and other visual works.
How to apply:
● Fill Out the Registration Form ● Submit Artwork: Submit your artwork by uploading images and a brief description. If your work consists of multiple elements, provide an image grouping all the parts.
Submission Requirements:
● Artwork Types: Open to painting, photography, sculpture, mixed media, digital, video, graphics, and other visual works that can be reproduced in an image format. ● Size Limit: Maximum size of the artwork is 3 x 3 meters. ● Number of Submissions: You can submit up to 6 artworks. ● Participation Fees: • 1 artwork: €50 • 2 artworks: €80 • 3 artworks: €110 • 4 artworks: €130 • 5 artworks: €145 • 6 artworks: €160 ● Payment Methods: Payments can be made via credit/debit card, PayPal, or bank transfer. Payment must be completed before the final selection.
Selection Process:
● Finalist Selection: A panel from Malamegi Lab and the Malamegi company’s artistic and commercial department will select 12 finalists based on their artwork. ● Prizes: Among the 12 finalists, three artists will receive: • Artwork Acquisition Award (chosen artwork will be acquired by Malamegi Lab for up to €2,000). • A €1,000 cash prize for the best work. • A monographic catalogue highlighting the artist’s work. ● Exhibition: The selected 12 artists will be featured in the collective exhibition. The exhibition will open with a catalogue and will be attended by artists, curators, and the media. ● Post-Selection: The selected finalists will be contacted directly by Malamegi Lab for further arrangements, including shipping the works for the exhibition.
Awards:
● Artwork Acquisition Award: One selected piece will be purchased by Malamegi Lab for up to €2000 and added to their private collection. Artwork must be for sale and priced within this range. ● Collective Exhibition: 12 finalists will participate in a group exhibition, with a general catalogue distributed. Invitations will be sent to key art figures. ● Cash Prize: One artist among the 12 finalists will receive a €1000 prize based on the originality and quality of their work. ● Monographic Catalogue: A monograph will be dedicated to one finalist, covering their work and distributed to Malamegi Lab’s top clients.
