Millay Arts offers multidisciplinary artists time and space through residencies to support their creative process and practice. The program fosters connections, engages communities, and helps bring unique works to life that may not otherwise be possible.

- Residency Duration:
- Standard: 3.5 weeks
- Shorter options: 12-day sessions (June & September)

Eligibility: Open to artists across disciplines, with specific fellowships available for:
- BIPOC and Baltimore-based artists
- Native American artists
- Trans*/genderqueer artists
- Creators interested in archive-based work
How to Apply:
- Register/Sign in via Submittable.
- Upload required documents (artist statement, work samples, bio, scheduling preferences).
- Enter contact and demographic details.
- Provide payment information.
- Submit the completed application.
Submission Requirements:
- Artist Statement: 1 page, describing work and residency focus.
- Work Samples: 2–3 compositions (max 15 minutes); MP3 files preferred.
- Scores (if applicable): PDFs.
- Video (if relevant): Low-resolution, max 2 minutes (no film scores).
- Biographical Statement: 1 page, third person.
- Scheduling Preferences: Up to 3 preferred residency months.
Selection Process:
- Blind jury review by rotating panels of practicing artists, critics, and academics.
- Merit-based evaluation — all identifying information must be removed from submissions.

- Charm City Fellow and Beyond: 2 recipients/year (MD, PA, D.C., NJ, VA & VI) with travel stipend.

- Nancy Graves Fellow: 1 recipient/year for archive-based work (no stipend).
- Vincent Prize Fellow: 2 recipients/year for trans*/genderqueer artists (potential stipend, funding-dependent).
