Short Description:
The Museo Nacional del Prado is accepting applications for 12 fully funded research and training fellowships designed for early-career professionals and recent graduates. These fellowships provide support for technical training and specialization in vital areas such as conservation, restoration, museology, exhibition coordination, audiovisual production, publishing, digital development, and cultural management.
Fellows will work within departments including:
- Conservation of 19th-century paintings
- Restoration of paintings and frames
- Audiovisual production
- Digital development
- Exhibition coordination
- Technical documentation and publishing
This initiative reflects the Prado’s dedication to nurturing new talent in cultural heritage and museum practices while promoting the preservation, study, and dissemination of Spain’s historical art collections.
Application Requirements:
Eligibility:
- Must possess a relevant university degree (specific requirements vary by fellowship area)
- EU citizenship or residency in Spain
- Must not have previously held a fellowship at the Prado
- Proficient in Spanish (both spoken and written)
- Must not be involved in other paid fellowships or contracts
Duration: 24 months
