Title & Description

Open Call for New Media Artists Residency London (USA & Canada) – Delfina Foundation Residency 2027

Delfina Foundation announces its inaugural open call within a new four-year residency series supporting new media artists based in the United States and Canada. This specific edition will take place in winter 2027 (4 January – 25 March) in London.

The residency is designed to provide time, space, and critical support for artists working in new media to expand their practice within an international framework. Participants will engage deeply with the UK’s contemporary art scene while developing their artistic and conceptual approaches.

The program emphasizes collaborative exchange and professional development, bringing together a cohort of international artists, curators, and cultural practitioners. Residents will participate in a structured yet flexible program including studio visits, institutional tours, presentations, mentoring sessions, and peer discussions.

A key objective of this initiative is to strengthen cultural exchange between North America and the UK, while enabling selected artists to gain broader European and global visibility. The residency is particularly suited for artists whose practice is deeply rooted in new media and who are interested in dialogue-driven, research-oriented environments.
