The Association for Culture and Education KIBLA (ACE KIBLA) is a national and international non-governmental institution based in Maribor, Slovenia, working across art, research, culture, media, technology, education, and creative industries. Founded as Multimedia Center KIBLA in 1996, the organization celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026. KIBLA emphasizes interdisciplinary, intermedia, and multimedia practices and operates several artistic and exhibition spaces in Maribor, including Multimedia Center KIBLA, artKIT, and KIBLA PORTAL.
The residency is part of OASis – Open Art Spaces in Synergy, a European network of creative spaces co-funded by the European Union’s Creative Europe programme.

OASis Residency Open Call for Artistic Intelligence: Nature and Technology
OASis Residency: Artistic Intelligence – Nature and Technology invites artists, researchers, and interdisciplinary practitioners to explore the relationship between nature and technology through artistic research and production.
The residency focuses on the relationship between analog and digital approaches, including Artificial Intelligence, AR, VR, MR, XR, interactive media, sound, vision, and cultural and natural heritage. Participants are encouraged to respond to the local context of Maribor and its surrounding region, addressing themes such as ecology, energy, history, society, and possible futures.
Artists may develop individual or collaborative projects and are encouraged to engage with local communities and audiences through sensory, interactive, participatory, or interdisciplinary approaches.

Eligibility
The open call is international, but applicants must reside in an EU Member State or a country eligible under the Creative Europe programme.
The organizers are seeking 2 artists, researchers, and interdisciplinary practitioners whose practices demonstrate strong artistic quality, originality, and relevance to the residency theme.
