Title & Description
Open Spaces: Fiber Arts Addressing the Landscape.
This juried exhibition centers on humanity’s foundational connection to natural elements like plants, animals, and stone. With a focus on the United States National Park Service (established in 1916) and Arizona's 22 national parks, the exhibition seeks fiber-based works that reflect on these protected landscapes as resources for restoration and mental health. The exhibition highlights the versatility of textiles, encompassing traditional and experimental forms that address the "open space" as both a physical site and a conceptual sanctuary.
