Short Description
With its unparalleled reach, the Sony World Photography Awards elevate the careers of photographers to the next level. Since the beginning, the Awards have championed inclusivity and access by being free to enter. Acting as an insight into photography today in all its diversity, the Awards spotlights photographers telling the stories of our time.
Eligibility
- The Professional Category is open to anyone submitting a series of 5 to 10 images per category. Ten diverse categories to enter for the Professional Category
- Open Category is free to enter and open to anyone submitting single images taken in 2025. Enter up to three single images for free. Ten diverse categories to enter.
- Student category is free to enter for anyone aged between 18 to 30 years old undertaking a photography programme. Students answer a set brief with 5 to 10 images
- Youth competition is open to photographers aged 19 and under.

- Youth competition: You could win top Sony Digital Imaging equipment, be included in the London exhibition, and receive the annual book, plus more!
- Student competition: Prizes include top Sony Digital Imaging equipment, inclusion in the London exhibition, and the annual book, plus more! The overall winning university is given Sony digital imaging equipment worth approximately €30,000. Includes flight and accommodation for the student and one tutor.
