The Institut Français d'Indonésie (IFI) is the French cultural institution in Indonesia, attached to the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. It is one of the largest French cultural centers in the world, serving over 5,000 students each year, and grew out of the Centre Culturel Français, which was renamed Institut Français in 2012. The IFI develops and organizes Franco-Indonesian cooperation across the arts, education, science, and the French language, and supports the mobility of artists and cultural professionals in the region, including in Timor-Leste.
Fundação Oriente is a Portuguese foundation created on 18 March 1988, headquartered in Lisbon with delegations in Macao, Goa, and Dili, East Timor. It is one of the 20 largest European foundations by total assets and a founding member of the European Foundation Centre, an association based in Brussels bringing together around 200 leading European foundations. Its statutory mission is to pursue cultural, educational, artistic, scientific, social, and philanthropic initiatives, particularly in Portugal and Macao, that develop and continue the historical and cultural ties between Portugal and the East. It runs the Museu do Oriente in Lisbon and supports scholarships, research, exhibitions, and artist exchange programs across its areas of activity.
The Cité internationale des arts is a nonprofit foundation recognized of public utility, and the largest artist residency in the world. Since 1965, it brings together more than 300 artists of all origins and generations in the heart of Paris, working across disciplines including visual arts, music, film, design and architecture, and performing arts. Its main activity consists of organizing artist-in-residency programmes in Paris for French and international artists, hosted across its Marais and Montmartre sites.

Timor-Leste Residency Programme
This creative and research residency programme is a collaboration between the Institut Français d'Indonésie, Fundação Oriente, and the Cité internationale des arts, designed specifically for artists and researchers from Timor-Leste working across any discipline. The aim is to encourage and facilitate the mobility of Timorese artists and expand their professional and artistic networks. The partners commit to supporting the selected laureate's project through mentorship, networking opportunities, and a fully funded three-month residency in Paris. Only one application will be selected for this edition.

Eligibility
- Open to Timorese artists-researchers of all ages
- Applicants must have an artistic or research practice in one or more of: visual and performance arts, music and sound research, live performance, writing, design, architecture-urbanism, curatorial practice, or art criticism
- Applicants must demonstrate at least 5 years of professional artistic experience
- Applicants must be capable of communicating and engaging in either English or French

Additional Details
- Transport of works or experimental materials will not be covered
- A final report of the experience is required at the end of the residency
- Only one application will be selected
- The jury, composed of representatives from the programme's partners and other qualified individuals, evaluates candidates' professional backgrounds along with the artistic quality of the project, the added value of the Paris residency specifically, the proposed work plan, and any established contacts or partnerships relevant to the project
- Studios accommodate up to two adults and one child up to 10 years old; additional fees apply for accompanying persons
- The live-in studios do not currently meet accessibility standards for people with disabilities, though the organizers state efforts are being made to address this
