Overview
Founded in 2024 by award-winning local fine art photographer Davide Esposito, Lost Artists is a specialized photography residency program, retreat, and creative sanctuary based in Capri, Italy. Moving beyond traditional outcome-driven residencies, the platform offers structured, intimate stays (hosting small cohorts of 3 artists per session) designed to help visual creators slow down, pause, and engage deeply with the creative process itself. Situated in a shared three-bedroom apartment overlooking Marina Grande, the residency leverages Capri’s historic landscapes, soulful serenity, and quiet atmosphere as an environment for artistic transformation.
Objectives
Lost Artists aims to create the conditions for meaningful creative renewal, helping thoughtful and introspective photographers overcome creative fatigue, rediscover their authentic artistic voice, and navigate moments of career transition. Grounded in the philosophy that true art emerges from inner truth and subconscious intuition, the program seeks to guide artists in transforming their personal perspectives into visible, meaningful works. Through dedicated mentorship, Island exploration, and collaborative exchange, the organization strives to empower creators to build sustainable daily strategies for ongoing inspiration and practice development.
