Short Description
Starting in 2025, the Institut français de Turquie and the Goethe-Institut Türkei are launching, in collaboration with their local and Mediterranean partners, the artistic residency program Deniz Villaları: Ecological Crossings. This initiative aims to support artistic creation in connection with the ecological issues of the Mediterranean and to promote artist mobility between Turkey and the Mediterranean region.
The residencies provide a unique framework to explore the interactions between art and the environment, integrating stays both on land and at sea. Selected artists will benefit from tailored support, dedicated time for research and creation, and opportunities for collaboration with key stakeholders and partners of the program.
The residency program consists of several phases:
- Participation in preparatory webinars to introduce the residency, raise awareness of ecological challenges, and understand Mediterranean dynamics.

- Opportunities for exchange with experts and local cultural actors.
