Acquisitions Programme Coordinator – Tate

Tate is seeking an Acquisitions Programme Coordinator to support the delivery of its acquisitions programme and the integration of newly acquired artworks into the collection. The position combines project coordination, administration, financial monitoring and relationship management, working with colleagues across Curatorial, Registration, Conservation, Development, Finance, Legal and Copyright.

The role provides an opportunity to develop specialist knowledge of museum collections, acquisitions procedures and collections management while contributing to the care and development of Tate’s collection.

Position & Tasks

The coordinator will act as a central administrative and organisational contact throughout the acquisitions process. Responsibilities include coordinating Collection Group and Collection Committee meetings, preparing agendas and papers, taking minutes, recording decisions and following up on actions.

The position also involves compiling curatorial, transport, shipping and financial documentation; managing formal acquisition correspondence; maintaining acquisition records and collection database entries; and supporting strategic policy and advocacy documents, particularly concerning diversity and inclusion.

Additional duties include supporting training for curators and internal stakeholders, coordinating collection and conservation follow-up, overseeing internal website image updates, processing invoices, monitoring financial commitments and reconciling monthly and year-end accounts.

Eligibility
