Title & Description
Bunker Projects Free Artist Residency Program 2026 (Pittsburgh)
The Bunker Projects Residency Program is a free, process-oriented Residency designed for contemporary visual and multidisciplinary practitioners, including artists, curators, filmmakers, and writers.
The program provides selected residents with free live/work accommodations and studio space in Pittsburgh’s Garfield Arts and Small Business District. Participants are invited to develop new work within a supportive environment that prioritizes experimentation, dialogue, and community engagement.
Rather than culminating in a final exhibition, the residency focuses on artistic development, peer interaction, and ongoing public-facing activities such as open studios, workshops, and informal presentations. Residents are also integrated into Bunker Projects’ broader programming ecosystem, including publications and professional development initiatives.
The program is designed to support both emerging and established practitioners seeking time, space, and community engagement to expand their artistic practice.
