Culture Moves Europe is a European cultural mobility scheme funded by the European Union through the Creative Europe programme and implemented by the Goethe-Institut on behalf of the European Commission. The programme supports artistic and cultural mobility across Creative Europe countries, with an emphasis on international collaboration, inclusion, sustainability, and geographical, regional, gender, and sectoral balance.

Culture Moves Europe Individual Mobility 2026–2027
Culture Moves Europe – Call for Individual Mobility 2026–2027 supports artists and cultural professionals who want to travel to another Creative Europe country and develop a project with an international partner. Applicants can undertake creative research, create new work, develop professional skills, or establish professional connections.
Applicants must select two objectives from: Explore, Create, Learn, and Connect. The project must involve one international partner based in a different Creative Europe country and take place in one destination country.
Projects may be undertaken individually or by groups of up to five eligible applicants. The mobility must last 7–60 days for individuals or 7–21 days for groups, and must take place continuously.

Film-exclusive/audiovisual projects are not eligible when connected to the film industry and intended for prominent public display through television, cinema, paid streaming, gaming platforms, or similar media.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be 18 years or older.
- Be artists or cultural professionals.
- Legally reside in a Creative Europe country when applying and during implementation.
- Work in one of the seven eligible sectors.
- Collaborate with one international partner based in a different Creative Europe country.
- Apply individually or as part of a group of up to five people.
All experience and educational backgrounds are welcome. Artists and cultural professionals living in exile who legally reside in a Creative Europe country with refugee or humanitarian protection status are encouraged to apply.
Applicants who received an Individual Mobility grant after October 2025 cannot apply. Each applicant can submit only one application during this call.
Program Benefits & Awards
- Travel allowance: €400 for distances under 5,000 km; €800 for distances of 5,000 km or more.
- Daily allowance: €85 per project day.
- Green mobility top-up: €400.
- Family top-up: €200 per child under 18.
- Visa top-up: €120.
- OCT/OR top-up: €175 where applicable.
- Accessibility support, including €30 per project day for accessibility-related costs and additional support for personal assistants or sign-language interpreters where approved.
Virtual projects receive a daily allowance of €40 per day. Hybrid projects combine the applicable virtual and physical rates.

Results are communicated within up to 8 weeks after the relevant monthly deadline. Projects must be implemented within the fixed six-month period associated with the chosen deadline. Applicants are strongly advised to apply at least four months before their intended travel date.

Additional Details
Applications are evaluated by two independent evaluators and subsequently selected by a jury. Evaluation considers project objectives, relevance of the mobility, planned activities, longer-term outcomes, and environmental sustainability.
Selected applicants receive the first grant instalment after signing the grant agreement. The activity report must be submitted within 30 days after completing the project.
