Fundación Ama Amoedo is a non-profit philanthropic organization founded in 2021 by collector and philanthropist Amalia Amoedo, following more than twenty-five years of activity as a patron and collector. Its mission is to promote the visibility of Latin American artists and strengthen their presence within the global art field, and it is headquartered in José Ignacio, Uruguay. The foundation was established to formalize Amoedo's patronage and expand the dialogue and networks of the arts of Latin America, the Caribbean, and its diaspora, with a particular focus on the Argentine and Uruguayan scenes.
The foundation's flagship initiative is FAARA (Fundación Ama Amoedo Residencia Artística), an artist residency housed at Casa Neptuna in José Ignacio, Uruguay, designed by Argentine artist Edgardo Giménez, which opened in 2021 as a retreat offering research, work, and creative reflection time in a natural setting. Beyond the residency, the foundation offers artists and cultural workers a range of initiatives to support their practices, including grants and other programs. The foundation is currently running the fourth edition of its annual grants program.

Fundación Ama Amoedo has opened the call for the fourth edition of its annual grants program, aimed at strengthening the ecosystem of the visual arts and its institutions in Latin America. The program distributes ten grants of USD 10,000 each across four categories, supporting artists, art and social-engagement initiatives, organizations, and publishing projects connected to Latin America.

Eligibility
- Open to artists, artistic collectives, art professionals, non-profit organizations, institutions, and foundations that have a significant connection to Latin America — whether through nationality, cultural heritage, or the location where the project will take place.
- Category-specific eligibility:
- Artists — for artists and/or artistic collectives whose practice is dedicated to the visual arts.
- Art and Social Engagement — for groups, individuals, or non-profit organizations that use artistic practice to promote education, social inclusion, and community value.
- Organizations — for specific projects by institutions or non-profit organizations aimed at promoting, preserving, and disseminating the work of Latin American artists.
- Publications — for editorial projects related to art and/or Latin American artists, with a maximum project completion period of two years from receipt of the grant.
