Title & Description
Larnaca Biennale 2027 – International Open Call for Artists, Designers & Performers
Larnaca Biennale 2027 invites artists from around the world to submit proposals for one of Cyprus’s leading international contemporary art events. Open to professionals, amateurs, students, photographers, designers, and multidisciplinary practitioners, the biennale welcomes submissions across a broad range of artistic media and conceptual approaches.
Selected works will be exhibited in various established venues throughout the center of Larnaca, Cyprus, while outdoor projects and public installations will become part of the official Biennale map and cultural program. The event encourages experimental, interdisciplinary, and innovative practices that engage audiences through visual, performative, digital, and spatial experiences.
Artists may submit works in painting, photography, video, installation, sculpture, performance, mixed media, and related disciplines. There are no restrictions regarding style, theme, material, or dimensions, allowing participants complete creative freedom in developing their proposals.
The Biennale also places strong emphasis on performance-based and site-responsive practices. Performance artists will collaborate directly with the Biennale curator regarding presentation schedules and locations, while installation artists may be invited to personally supervise the installation of large-scale or technically complex works.
Video artists are encouraged to participate by submitting MP4 files or streaming links, with selected works screened within the Biennale exhibition framework. Equipment for video presentations will be provided by the organizers.
Beyond exhibition opportunities, Larnaca Biennale 2027 offers international visibility through awards, catalog publication, public programming, and exposure to curators, collectors, critics, and cultural professionals from across the global art sector.
