Luxembourg Art Week and the non-profit organization artcontemporain.lu are launching a call for projects for artists and curators as part of Capsules which will take place from mid-October to late November 2025in Luxembourg. Capsules transform vacant commercial spaces into temporary artistic installations visible from the street 24/7.

The 11th edition of Luxembourg Art Week will take place from November 21 to 23, 2025.A regional fair with a European reach, LuxembourgA rt Week brings together nearly 80 galleries, artist collectives, and institutions, attracting around 18 000 visitors

Eligibility

Artists and curators are invited to submit proposals for window installations. The Organizers oversee the application review process and actively contribute ideas throughout the project. Participation in Capsules is offered both by invitation and through a call for projects.

Submitting an application is free and open to emerging contemporary artists, with no requirement for gallery representation or geographical restrictions. All disciplines within the field of visual arts are eligible. Collaborative proposals may include up to two artists or an artist-curator duo

•A presentation file including a curriculum vitae, a portfolio or a brief statement outlining the artistic approach

• At least 8 high-resolution images (exhibition views and artwork visuals)

• A detailed presentation of the proposed Capsules window project, accompanied by visuals or sketches illustrating the concept

Program Benefits & Awards

• The organizer covers costs related to transport (artworks and artists), accommodation, and scenography (partitions, paint, lighting, etc.).

• Each project is allocated a budget of €950, which covers artist fees and/or production costs(excluding scenography).

• All exhibited artworks must be original creations by the artist.

• The artist retains copyright over their work and will reclaim their pieces after the exhibition.
