VIVE Arts is a global arts and technology initiative established by HTC in 2017, dedicated to transforming how culture is created, experienced, and preserved through immersive technologies. Operating internationally with teams in London, New York, Taipei, and Shanghai, VIVE Arts collaborates with leading artists, museums, cultural institutions, and production companies to develop innovative immersive experiences. Since its inception, the organization has delivered more than 75 projects worldwide, combining artistic excellence with emerging technologies such as virtual reality (VR), mixed reality (MR), real-time 3D production, AI, volumetric capture, and projection mapping.

The Programme Department commissions and produces all VIVE Arts projects and works closely with artists, creative studios, museums, and technology partners. Recent productions include Playing with Fire: An Immersive Odyssey with Yuja Wang, The Metamorphoses of Guernica, La Magie Opéra, Versailles: Lost Gardens of the Sun King, and Heartbreak and Magic by Libby Heaney. Through these projects, VIVE Arts continues to expand opportunities for artists and cultural institutions to engage audiences through innovative storytelling formats.

Project and Touring Producer, VIVE Arts

VIVE Arts is seeking an experienced Project and Touring Producer to join its Programme Department in London. This permanent full-time position offers an opportunity to oversee the development, production, and international touring of large-scale immersive and location-based cultural experiences.

The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the Head of Programme and a network of international co-producers, artists, institutions, technical teams, and venue partners. The role spans the entire lifecycle of immersive productions, from early-stage research and development through production, installation, distribution, and touring.

This position is particularly suited to professionals working at the intersection of contemporary art, cultural production, immersive media, digital innovation, and international touring. Candidates will contribute to globally recognized projects while helping shape the future of immersive cultural experiences.

  • Working Pattern: Hybrid (2 days in Somerset House Exchange, London; 3 days remote)

Position & Tasks

The Project and Touring Producer will be responsible for managing both touring projects and new immersive productions. Key duties include:

  • Producing and delivering large-scale touring immersive experiences.
  • Managing venue relationships and distribution partnerships.
  • Coordinating contracts, budgets, forecasting, scheduling, and operational logistics.
  • Supporting business development and identifying new touring opportunities.
  • Negotiating and managing contracts with partners and stakeholders.
  • Representing VIVE Arts during installations, launches, and opening events.
  • Collaborating with artists, creative teams, technical specialists, co-producers, and institutions.
  • Managing projects through research, development, pre-production, production, installation, and touring phases.
  • Overseeing project documentation, reporting, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Coordinating payments and contract approvals with legal and finance teams.
  • Supporting departmental administration and strategic planning.

The role involves frequent domestic and international travel and requires strong leadership, project management, and production expertise.

Eligibility

  • Have a minimum of five years' professional experience producing and touring large-scale audience-facing projects.
  • Demonstrate experience in arts, culture, immersive media, digital production, or related sectors.
  • Possess strong project management, organizational, budgeting, and communication skills.
  • Be capable of working independently and strategically.
  • Be willing to travel frequently both nationally and internationally.
  • Have experience managing complex budgets and commercial partnerships.
  • Hold permanent authorization to work in the United Kingdom.

Desirable Qualifications
