Organizer Information
Ente Musicale e Culturale Filarmonica "G. Puccini" is a cultural institution based in Suvereto, a medieval hilltop town in Tuscany. It was formally established in 1991 to continue the work of the Società Filarmonica Puccini, a musical band founded in Suvereto in 1823, and today it manages the town's music school, historical archive, and cultural programming. The Ente's archive — spanning administrative, musical, and multimedia holdings, including over a thousand scores split between printed texts and manuscripts — was recognized as being of significant historical interest by Italy's Ministry of Culture (MiBACT) in 2017 and has since undergone a multi-year cataloguing and digitization project. In 2025 the Ente published Ricordi Sonori, a book marking the 200th anniversary of the Filarmonica, and it is recognized by Italy's Ministry of Culture as a cultural institute and research body. Its recent activities include artist residency programs exploring the relationship between historical archival material and contemporary creative practice.

Additional Details
- Selection Criteria: Artistic excellence (40%), relevance to the archival research project (30%), collaborative potential (30%)
- The project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union's Culture Moves Europe programme; the call notes that views expressed are not necessarily those of the European Union or the Goethe-Institut
- The call materials describe the archive's holdings inconsistently: the cover page refers to "19th and 20th-century manuscripts," while the overview section refers only to "19th-century manuscripts" — this discrepancy comes directly from the source and hasn't been resolved
