Organizer Information
Kunst.Ort.Rumpenheim e.V. is an artist-oriented cultural association based in Rumpenheim (Offenbach am Main, Germany). The organization operates within the context of the Rumpenheim Art Days and focuses on activating public space through contemporary art interventions. Its programming emphasizes site-specific artistic production in public environments, particularly within historically and ecologically sensitive landscapes such as Rumpenheim Palace Park, a protected natural and cultural heritage site dating back to the early 18th century.
The association is responsible for curating and organizing the KUNST.PARK RUMPENHEIM initiative, which has been running since 2024 and combines exhibition-making, public engagement, and an award-based competition structure. The 2026 edition expands the program by introducing three prize categories, reinforcing its commitment to supporting emerging and established artistic practices in temporary, site-responsive formats.
Title & Description
ART.PARK RUMPENHEIM 2026 – Open Call for Temporary Site-Specific Art Interventions and Awards
ART.PARK RUMPENHEIM 2026 invites artists to develop and present temporary, site-specific works within the Rumpenheim Palace Park during the Rumpenheim Art Days (18–20 September 2026). The program is focused on ephemeral, environmentally responsive, and conceptually driven artistic interventions that engage directly with the park’s natural, historical, and architectural context.
The initiative foregrounds artistic practices such as land art, sculptural installation, spatial interventions, light and ephemeral works, and other temporary forms that respond to outdoor conditions. Selected works will be installed throughout the park and publicly exhibited during the three-day art event, allowing direct engagement between artists, audiences, and the landscape.
A key feature of the program is its three-tier prize structure, awarded during the exhibition period. Works are evaluated on-site by a jury, with awards recognizing artistic quality and execution in relation to the specific context of Rumpenheim Palace Park.
