It supports artists, young people and emerging talent while developing programmes that connect the arts with diverse communities. Its Creative Collaboration department works across art forms to expand participation, develop new audiences and strengthen the Barbican’s civic and community role.

Senior Producer, Learning and Participation
The Barbican is seeking a Senior Producer, Learning and Participation to join its Creative Collaboration team. The successful candidate will develop and deliver participatory learning and community programmes that engage young people and communities underrepresented in arts and culture.
The role focuses particularly on the City of London and the surrounding boroughs of Camden, Islington, Tower Hamlets and Hackney. The Senior Producer will work across Barbican departments to deliver ambitious, participatory events and programmes involving artists, audiences, young people and communities.

Position & Tasks
The Senior Producer will manage the learning and community team and collaborate with Barbican art-form departments to develop and deliver high-quality participatory programmes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering large-scale public, educational and participatory arts programmes.
- Managing and inspiring the learning and community team.
- Working with diverse artists, audiences, young people and community groups.
- Managing complex budgets and implementing business plans and strategies.
- Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Presenting to senior staff and national and international partners.
- Identifying and resolving risks affecting participation and learning projects.
- Contributing to the Creative Collaboration strategy and wider Barbican Arts Programme.

Eligibility
The opportunity is aimed at experienced arts and cultural professionals with significant experience in community arts, youth participation or arts education. Applicants should demonstrate experience delivering large-scale participatory or educational arts events, managing complex budgets, leading teams and working with diverse artists and audiences.
