Short Description

The 2025 Taiwan International Student Design Competition (TISDC) has officially been announced, featuring the theme “Diversity” and scheduled to run from 12th May to 7th July. This prestigious global design event, hosted annually since 2003 by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education, continues to attract thousands of submissions each year from talented young designers worldwide.
With categories including Product Design, Visual Design, Digital Animation, Architecture & Landscape Design, and Fashion Design, TISDC offers an exceptional platform for creative students to showcase their skills, innovative thinking, and multidisciplinary expertise on an international stage.

Theme:

Diversity – Diversity is about respecting and embracing differences, integrating diverse cultures, fostering innovation, promoting collaboration, and creating an inclusive society built on mutual support. Diversity is a key value in modern society, encouraging students to respect individual differences and engage with others with inclusivity and warmth. As part of its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for 2030, the United Nations underscores the crucial role of diversity in advancing global development. Through the power of design, students can incorporate multicultural perspectives, stimulate innovation, and facilitate cross-boundary collaboration and inclusion, thereby fostering new opportunities for societal progress. Diversity is not merely a concept, but a practice—respecting each individual’s uniqueness, reflecting the richness of the world, and cultivating an inclusive society built on mutual support.

Eligibility

Students currently enrolled in senior high school or higher (based on the deadline for online registration entrants must be born after May 12, 1995, and must be under 30 years of age. Female entrants who have given birth before the age of 30 are eligible for a 2-year age extension for each child born.

Fresh graduates (graduates in 2025) and new students (enrolled in school in 2025) are also eligible.

Grand Prix (1 winner):
NT$400,000 (approx. US$13,000), an awarding cup and a certificate

Gold Prize (1 winner for each category):
NT$250,000 (approx. US$8,000), an awarding cup and a certificate

Silver Prize (1 winner for each category):
NT$150,000 (approx. US$4,500), an awarding cup and a certificate

Bronze Prize (1 winners for each category):
NT$60,000 (approx. US$1,800), an awarding cup and a certificate

Honorable Mention (several winners for each category):
NT$10,000 (approx. US$300) and a certificate

International Design Association Special Prize (at least 15 winners)

NT$30,000 (approx. US$1,000), an awarding cup and a certificate

* The jurors delegated by international design associations will select works that meet the evaluation criteria of each international design association among the shortlisted entries in the Product Design, Visual Design, and Digital Animation categories to win this prize.

Brand Specified Special Prize: (Sponsored by TPCA Environment Foundation) 

Environmental Sustainability Award (3 winners)

NT$100,000 (approx. US$3,000), an awarding cup and a certificate 

*The prize money of Environmental Sustainability Award includes NT$30,000, allocated as a travel subsidy for attending the award ceremony.In the event that a recipient is unable to attend the ceremony to accept the award, NT$30,000 will be deducted from the total prize amount. However, should the absence be due to political reasons or force majeure, the matter will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.

Special Region Award (6 winners)
