Villa Belleville – Résidences de Paris Belleville is an artist residency and production site in Paris operated by AGETA / Curry Vavart collective association. AGETA manages, maintains, animates, and provides security for creative workspaces and develops residency programs as part of its contract with Paris City Hall for the Villa Belleville site. The program supports artistic creation by providing free studio space in central Paris, where access to affordable workspaces is limited. The residency welcomes visual arts and arts-and-crafts practices and offers individualized support in production, promotion, and dissemination.

Villa Belleville – Temporary Artistic Workshops Residency 2027
The Temporary Artistic Workshops 2027 open call offers artists and collectives the opportunity to work at Villa Belleville in Paris for either 3 or 6 months. Selected participants receive a free individual studio and access to shared technical workshops and equipment. The residency is intended for artists with an emerging or established professional trajectory who have a project to develop during the residency or a planned exhibition project. Residents also receive professional development, production, and networking support and may participate in cultural activities with local residents.

Eligibility
The opportunity is international and open to artists and collectives of all ages, residing either in France or internationally. Applicants must demonstrate an emerging or significant professional artistic trajectory. Applications may be submitted in English by international artists. Selection is based on the quality and relevance of the proposed project, its development potential during the residency, and the applicant's artistic practice. Projects offering opportunities for engagement with local audiences and the surrounding community will receive particular consideration.
Program Benefits & Awards
Selected artists receive a free individual studio measuring approximately 20–33 m² for the entire residency. Studio allocation is determined according to each artist's practice and needs. Residents can also access shared technical facilities at L'Usine, including screen-printing, engraving, ceramics, woodworking, volume, publishing, and a semi-professional kitchen, subject to availability.
Additional benefits include individualized technical and artistic support, professional meetings, assistance with development and dissemination, professionalization sessions covering topics such as artists' social/fiscal status and funding research, and promotion through Villa Belleville's network. A collective exhibition and open studios will take place at the end of the residency. Each participating artist or collective will also receive a 1,300-character text about their practice written by a contemporary art writer. Paid artistic workshops may also be offered as part of the cultural and community program.

Additional Details
The residency includes a community and cultural-action component. Residents may periodically welcome local residents into their studios and may lead paid artistic workshops developed in collaboration with the association's project coordinators. Applicants should therefore explain how they could contribute to this program, including the medium, format, and intended age group for a potential workshop.
The building includes water access, sanitary facilities, communal areas, a kitchen, shared workspaces, and an exhibition space. A detailed description of available technical equipment is provided by Villa Belleville.
