Overview

Founded by sisters Tessa Moroder (an economist) and Arianna Moroder (a textile designer and artist) in a converted industrial warehouse in Prato, Italy, Lottozero is an international center for textile design, art, and culture. Situated in one of Europe’s most significant historical fashion and textile manufacturing districts, the 400 m² open-plan complex integrates an open textile experimentation laboratory, shared coworking spaces, a design consultancy studio, a specialized material/textile library, and an exhibition space (Kunsthalle).

Objectives

Lottozero aims to create a fertile, sustainable environment for textile research, artistic experimentation, and material innovation across fashion, visual arts, and design. Grounded in values of economic and environmental sustainability, open knowledge sharing, and quality manufacturing, the organization seeks to revitalize the local Prato textile district by bridging historic artisanal techniques with digital technologies. Additionally, Lottozero is committed to family-inclusive cultural practices, ensuring artists with caretaking responsibilities have full access to professional development opportunities.

• Art & Design Textile Residencies: Short-term, family-friendly residential stays providing private apartment accommodation, 24/7 access to the headquarters, dedicated coworking desks, 2 hours of weekly technical/design consultancy, and direct access to local industrial production networks.
