Organizer Information
The Aesthetica Art Prize is an international contemporary art award organized by Aesthetica Magazine, a UK-based publication dedicated to art, design, and visual culture. Since its establishment in 2007, the prize has developed into one of the most visible open call platforms for emerging and established contemporary artists worldwide.
The organization has built a strong reputation for connecting artists with leading institutions, curators, and galleries across the global art ecosystem, including representatives from Tate Modern, Barbican, Guggenheim, V&A, Frieze, and other major art institutions. Through its exhibition program, publication opportunities, and international visibility, the prize functions as both an award platform and a professional launchpad for contemporary artistic careers.
Title & Description
Aesthetica Art Prize 2026 – International Contemporary Art Open Call
The Aesthetica Art Prize is a major international competition celebrating excellence in contemporary visual culture. The open call invites artists from around the world to submit works across a wide range of disciplines for a chance to be exhibited in a major public gallery and featured in Aesthetica Magazine and the annual Aesthetica Art Prize Anthology.
The prize is designed to showcase innovative, conceptually strong, and visually compelling work across multiple media. Selected artists gain access to an international audience of curators, collectors, and institutions, with previous participants going on to exhibit at venues such as MoMA PS1, Tate Modern, Centre Pompidou, Saatchi Gallery, and the V&A.
Artists are encouraged to submit work that reflects contemporary artistic practices across painting, photography, installation, moving image, digital experimentation, and interdisciplinary approaches. The prize supports both emerging and established practitioners, with dedicated categories for early-career artists.
