It serves as a vital platform for project development, cross-disciplinary networking, and long-term curatorial dissemination within the Spanish cultural landscape.

Title & Description
Ey!Studio Artist-in-Residence (AiR) Madrid Program
The Ey!Studio AiR program offers an immersive residency in Madrid for international cultural practitioners to develop independent projects within a temporary, collaborative studio community. Designed to foster organic dialogue and everyday exchange among peer residents, the program provides private living accommodations alongside dedicated, sunlit work blocks in a shared studio environment. To protect the studio environment and emphasize deep research over rushed output, the residency does not conclude with a traditional public open studio event. Instead, the process shifts focus toward post-residency visibility, offering eligible visual artists and filmmakers an opportunity to integrate into Ey!Studio’s formal curatorial archiving, video documentation pipelines, and subsequent annual group museum-grade exhibitions.
Categories
The residency operates under a highly flexible, open-discipline structure, explicitly welcoming Visual Arts, Filmmaking, Writing, Dramaturgy, Music, Artistic Research, Curatorial Projects, and Hybrid or Experimental Practices.
Eligibility
- Demographics: Open to all contemporary artists, filmmakers, writers, academic researchers, and curators of any nationality and age bracket.
- Language Requirements: The primary working communication tracks of the residency are Spanish and English; applicants should possess working fluency in at least one of these languages.
