Pan(*)cha Zine is a self-funded, independent zine founded by four co-editors — Carmen Vidal, Elsa Monnier, Erika Aldrich Murga, and Mariana Cid De Leon Ovalle — who describe their mission as empowering Latinx comadrxs to take back their narratives by opening their lips. Pan(*)cha Zine Open Call — "Revolution" Themed Issue & General Submissions
Pan(*)cha Zine is accepting submissions on two parallel tracks. The themed call, "Revolution," focuses on moments of rupture and transformation, when systems, ideas, or habits have outgrown their constraints, and explores the courage to break cycles, challenge norms, and imagine new possibilities, inviting reflection on personal, cultural, or societal shifts and the power and consequences of transformation. Alongside this themed call, the zine also runs a permanently open General Submissions track for work that does not fit its themed issues, intended to give contributors space to tell their own stories in whichever medium they choose.
Theme
Revolution (themed call): Explores rupture, transformation, and the breaking of cycles, norms, or systems. Source-listed prompt ideas include grassroots activism, redefining gendered expectations, personal breakthroughs and radical life changes, disruption of traditional media/distribution by streaming, and pushback against the integration of AI into work, art, and daily life.

Eligibility
