Film London and Arts Council England present The FLAMIN Fellowship, a premiere development scheme under the Film London Artists’ Moving Image Network (FLAMIN). Since its inception in 2017, the Fellowship has supported a diverse alumni of artists who have gone on to win major awards and showcase work at international festivals like the BFI and Tate.

This major development programme is specifically designed for early-career artist filmmakers living in England. It supports the most innovative and challenging moving image practices, providing a combination of financial funding, monthly professional workshops, and mentorship to help artists navigate the complexities of the art world and the film industry.
What the Programme Offers
- Monthly Workshops: In-person sessions in London covering film festival strategy, funding, sound design, copyright, and sustaining a practice.
- Development Bursary: A £2,500 grant toward a specific moving image project.
- Mentorship: Support sessions with Pinky Ghundale, an experienced Production Advisor.
- Visibility: Promotion via Film London’s network and inclusion in screening programmes.

Eligibility
- Experience: Artists with at least two previous works shown in public screenings or exhibitions.

- Restrictions: Not open to students, artists represented by commercial galleries, or those already in receipt of other major development awards (e.g., DYCP).
Fees

- Interview Honorarium: Stage 2 finalists receive a £100 fee for their time.
Application Process
- Stage 1: Short online application focusing on artistic practice and project feasibility.
- Stage 2: Up to 12 artists submit detailed proposals and attend interviews (questions provided in advance).
