Organizer Information
The Lighton International Artists Exchange Program (LIAEP) is a dedicated funding body that aims to make the world a smaller place by facilitating meaningful interactions between artists of different cultures. By supporting travel and residency-based work, LIAEP fosters lasting friendships and mutual understanding between global peers. The program is specifically designed to reward serious visual artists and arts professionals who demonstrate exceptional quality in their practice.
Title & Description
The Lighton International Artists Exchange Program (LIAEP) 2026.
This grant program provides critical financial support for artists to engage in international exchange. The primary goal is to encourage the sharing of ideas and expertise through travel to professional and established residencies. LIAEP prioritizes projects that break geographical and cultural boundaries, especially those involving travel to less Westernized countries. Whether it is a U.S. citizen traveling abroad or a foreign artist traveling to the United States, the program emphasizes the pedagogical and creative growth that occurs when an artist is immersed in a new cultural context.
