This annual grant program honors individual creators whose work actively engages with, preserves, or thoughtfully reimagines Hungarian culture in the United States. Rather than requiring rigid stylistic compliance, the award encourages artists to reinterpret traditional Hungarian art forms, weave heritage into unconventional formats, or amplify contemporary issues relevant to the Hungarian American community.

Eligibility
- Residency Status: Open exclusively to individuals based in the U.S. who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
- Cultural Alignment: Applicants do not need to be of Hungarian descent, but must present a project that clearly promotes or highlights Hungarian culture within the U.S.
- Career Stage: Welcomes individual creators at all experience levels: Emerging (0–5 years), Mid-Career (6–10 years), and Established (11+ years) with a verifiable professional track record.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of submission.
- Exclusions: Organizations, groups, and fiscally sponsored collectives are not eligible. Grantees may only receive this award once in a three-year period.
Program Benefits and Awards
- Grant Value: Up to $15,000 USD based entirely on project scope, feasibility, and financial breakdown.
- Funding Architecture: Disbursed in two balanced installments: 50% upon selection and the remaining 50% at the project's midway milestone following a successful progress evaluation.
- Unrestricted Nature: While tied to the execution of the approved project proposal, funds are structurally unrestricted and can be utilized for materials, studio rent, research travel, or general living expenses.
- Community Synergy: Opportunities for public presentation, networking, and attendance at exclusive Tulipán institutional events.
