Organizer Information

TORPOR is a new independent magazine co-founded by editor Daria Gnatchenko and art director Lorenzo Zeng. The publication explores the feeling of stagnation in the modern world—not as a hurdle to overcome, but as a state to observe, analyze, and act from within. Through artistic contributions and critical texts, TORPOR gives form to the inner states that accumulate before language.

Title & Description

TORPOR Magazine Issue 1: Fear – International Open Call.

For its debut printed issue, TORPOR invites artists and writers to explore the multi-faceted nature of fear. The magazine is specifically interested in the fear of large-scale catastrophe—war, collapse, and the quiet realization that the world as we know it might end. This call examines the gap between the scale of global events and the scale of a single life, asking how we continue to create rituals, humor, and tenderness while living alongside the impossible to ignore.
